Group Transport

New York car service, airport transfers and group transportation

New York car service, black cars, airport pickups, corporate shuttles and charter buses, booked with licensed partner operators. Three airports, strict curb rules and a coach routing code: here is what to specify.

New York airport car service: JFK, LaGuardia, Newark

Name the airport and terminal on every booking; the three run different pickup rules. At JFK the driver meets you in the terminal's ground transportation area, but car services for Terminals 5 and 7 work from the Howard Beach AirTrain lot, so allow for the free AirTrain ride. At LaGuardia, Terminal B pickups are on garage Level 2 and Terminal C uses the Arrivals inner lane. Newark allows no waiting at terminal curbs; the driver holds in the Cell Phone Lot by the P4 garage.

Send the flight number, not just the time, so the pickup follows the real landing.

Getting a full-size coach to a Midtown hotel

Buses may not pick up or drop off on Fifth Avenue between 32nd and 59th Streets. If the hotel entrance is on Fifth, give a side-street door and tell the group before they come down.

Coaches follow truck routes and need a Highway Travel Permit for the parkways and FDR Drive, so a route a sedan takes directly may need a detour by coach. Idling is limited to three minutes, one minute beside a school. Put the lobby call ahead of departure.

Javits Center shuttles and Broadway nights

Javits sits on Eleventh Avenue at 34th-38th Streets, and every show empties at the same hour. For multi-day events, a corporate shuttle loop from Midtown or Hudson Yards hotels is usually more reliable than individual cars at closing time. Specify first run, last run and interval.

Broadway groups leave at curtain-down into streets full of other groups. Agree a pickup point a block or two away from Times Square.

Lower Manhattan, stadiums and day trips

Buses may not park in Lower Manhattan over three hours. A 9/11 Memorial visit plus lunch can pass that, so plan drop-off, departure and timed return. For MetLife Stadium or Prudential Center, give the lot on the ticket. West Point, Woodbury Common and Philadelphia suit a coach with a restroom.

Questions

Which New York airport is closest to Midtown?

LaGuardia, at about 9 miles. JFK and Newark are each about 15-16 miles. For a coach, routing rules can matter more than mileage.

Can the car wait at the Newark curb?

No. The driver waits in the free Cell Phone Lot next to the P4 garage and comes to the pickup area when you are ready.

Can a charter bus collect us on Fifth Avenue?

Not between 32nd and 59th Streets. Give a side-street address instead.

Do tolls change a New York quote?

Yes. Tolls and parking sit alongside hours and vehicle size in the price. Include any New Jersey legs up front.
