What a midsize coach offers
Typically 29 to 35 seats. Under-floor bays of about 190 to 285 cu ft. Reclining seats, three-point seat belts, overhead parcel racks, USB-A and USB-C at seats. Some models, such as the Temsa TS 35 and Van Hool CX35, have a restroom. Some models are wheelchair lift-ready. It carries the same kind of belts and charging as a full-size coach in a shorter body.

When it beats a full-size coach
A 30-person group in a 49-seat coach is paying for seats that ride empty. A midsize coach carries them with room for bags. For a corporate shuttle loop between hotel and venue, a midsize coach turns faster at the curb and fits more driveways.
For a church group or a day trip, it is the right size for a choir, a youth group or a team.
Luggage: count before you book
Under-floor space is roughly half that of a full-size coach. For an airport transfer with checked bags, count them. Thirty people with a checked bag each may still fit. Thirty with skis and golf clubs may not.
Tell us the restroom matters if it does. Not every model has one.
Sizing a corporate shuttle
For a conference shuttle, loop time matters more than seat count. Two midsize coaches on a staggered loop cut the wait at each stop compared with one full-size coach on a long one. Send the hotels and the session start times.
