Sea-Tac (SEA) airport car service and group pickups

Sea-Tac separates limos and charter buses by garage level, and neither can wait on airport property the way many travelers expect. Plan both.

Car service: Ground Transportation Plaza, garage 3rd floor

A pre-arranged SEA car service loads at the Ground Transportation Plaza on the 3rd floor of the parking garage. Travelers walk from baggage claim into the garage, not out to the terminal curb.

There is no on-airport staging for pre-arranged limos. The car arrives against the passenger's message. Send the flight number; have the traveler message when bags are collected. For two or three executives, one SUV from the plaza is simpler than a charter.

Terminals

  • Main Terminal (Concourses A-D, N and S satellites)

Charter buses: 28th Street check-in, then the Northeast Charter Lot

Charter buses check in at the 28th Street lot before pickup, then load at the Northeast Charter Lot, garage Floor 1. Two different levels from the limo plaza. Brief the group lead with "Floor 1, Northeast Charter Lot" and nothing else.

The driver handles the check-in. Your part is timing: the lead calls the coach in once bags are collected and the headcount is complete.

Cruise day: Pier 66 or Pier 91

The port is about 15 miles, 30 to 45 minutes. Pier 66 is the Bell Street Cruise Terminal (Norwegian, Oceania); Pier 91 is Smith Cove, with a designated cruise bus entry. The cruise line's own buses board from the SEA baggage claim level. A private transfer uses the charter or limo pickup above.

Downtown and the convention center

About 14 miles, 25 to 45 minutes. Seattle Convention Center bus drop is 800 Convention Place for Arch and 9th Ave for Summit. Pike Place Market has a 15-minute charter bus zone on the west side of 1st Ave, Pike to Pine.

Day trips start further out. Snoqualmie Falls is about 29 miles from downtown and the Nisqually entrance to Mount Rainier about 85. In Leavenworth, oversized vehicles park only at the Glacier Lot.
