Boston Logan (BOS) airport car service and group pickups

Logan is three miles from downtown, and limousine service there is by prior reservation only. Each terminal has its own stand. Know it before landing.

The BOS car service stand at each terminal

A booked BOS car service loads at the limo stand. Terminal A: the lot opposite Arrivals. Terminal B: Departures level, B-205 to B-208. Terminal C: the Central Garage. Terminal E: Lot 2.

Watch Terminal B. The stand is on Departures, not Arrivals. A traveler who follows the crowd down to baggage claim and out the door is on the wrong level. Write "Departures level, B-205 to B-208" into the itinerary, word for word.

No commercial vehicles in the Cell Phone Lot

Logan's Cell Phone Lot bars commercial vehicles, so the driver holds elsewhere and comes to the stand when the passenger is ready. That makes the handoff message matter: bags collected, walking to the stand. Send the flight number with the booking so timing starts from the real landing.

Group pickups at Logan

The Arrivals curb stops A105, B105, B115, C102 and E107 are for scheduled buses. A chartered minibus or coach is a different arrangement, and the airport's published guidance does not name its pickup point. The driver confirms the meeting point with you before the day. Put it in the group briefing next to the terminal letter.

Three miles, then the Boston coach rules

10 to 25 minutes to downtown. For a coach, the rules at the far end matter more than the airport. Storrow Drive prohibits buses. Most downtown tour bus stops allow a 15-minute layover. Tour buses cannot park at meters or idle past five minutes. For a long dinner, the coach lays over at the Autoport in Charlestown, by prior arrangement.

For Seaport and Back Bay hotels, send the entrance, not just the hotel name.

Should conference delegates take the Silver Line?

The SL1 runs free to South Station. Fine for a light traveler going there. For a group bound for the Seaport or Back Bay with bags, or a speaker on a schedule, book the transfer.

Can the coach wait downtown during a long dinner?

Not at the curb. Most downtown tour bus stops allow 15 minutes. Long layovers go to the Autoport, 100 Terminal St, Charlestown, by prior arrangement.
