Group Transport

Port Canaveral cruise transfers from MCO and Orlando

About 45 miles from MCO, seven terminals and a port that only admits permitted operators. Give us the terminal number and the flight details; we book a licensed partner operator cleared to work the port.

MCO to the terminal: one leg, planned by terminal number

Orlando International is about 45 miles from Port Canaveral, 45 to 60 minutes by road. From MCO, the route runs east on SR 528; Exit 54A serves the north terminals, 54B the south. So the terminal number is not a detail. It decides the exit.

Specify: cruise line, ship, terminal number, sailing date, flight numbers, passenger and bag counts. Cruise luggage is bulky. A group of 12 with full bags may need more than a Sprinter van.

What the port requires of the operator

All commercial ground transport at Port Canaveral needs a Canaveral Port Authority permit and a minimum level of auto liability cover. Fares must be pre-arranged and pre-paid, so no one can be hired at the curb. We book operators who hold the permit.

Loading zones are limited to 15 minutes; holding areas allow up to 5 hours. The driver cannot wait at the curb for a slow group. Meet-and-greet areas are at Terminals 1, 3, 5, 6, 8 and 10.

Sailing day and disembarkation day

On sailing day, a morning flight into MCO is a risk. A pre-cruise night at an Orlando hotel, or near MCO, takes the delay out. Book the hotel-to-port leg as group transportation and the airport arrival separately.

On disembarkation day, set the pickup against the ship's arrival and customs time, then work forward to the flight. Tell us the latest safe departure time for MCO. We quote to it.
